Will the Mandurah couple do enough to avoid a dinner date with elimination, or will the kitchen be too hot to handle?

In what was dubbed by producers as the meltdown of the century, Liam and Conrad’sprivate dinner has only encouraged to prove their worth in tonight’s episode.

“We’ve got a lot to prove, we’re so much better than what we did that night,” said Liam toldcameras.

“This is our chance to really showcase our talent.”

The Duck Duck Moose owners failed to impress fellow contestants and judges – British food critic Tom Parker Bowles and Melbourne restaurateur Scott Pickett – at the private dinner, receiving the lowest score of the competition:36 out of a possible 90.

But the night’s failure was something which the pair put down to the pressure of the competition and poor preparation.

The question is, will they fizzle or will they sizzle under the heat of tonight’s cook-off?

Christina and Tania promise to more than an equal match and plan to bring their best to the table.

“We’re not ready to go home yet,” Christina said at the last private dinner.

” We want to prove to everyone that we can cook better.”

The Hotplate airs Monday, 7.30pm on Channel Nine.
