Katerina and Nikolas Blekic will spend nine days driving a tractor each, with the duo departing Irymple on Friday as part of a Sunraysia Leo Club fundraiser.
They hope the public will get behind them to help reach their $5000 fundraising target.
“The idea came about because my brother and I are interested in tractors,” Katerina said.
“We thought ‘wouldn’t that be a good idea to do a tractor journey’.”
Katerina said the cause was close to their hearts, having both previously had specialist appointments in Melbourne.
“Every child deserves to live a healthy life,” she said. “We really wanted to make a difference in a fun way. We thought why not use tractors when we’ve got them here at the vineyard.”
There will be two support vehicles of family and friends following Katerina and Nikolas. Along the way they will stop at Lions clubs and have a chat and discuss ideas.
