IMPROVEMENTS: Parliamentary Secretary for the Hunter Scot MacDonald Major road work to improve safety for motorists has beenfinished at MillersForest.
Parliamentary Secretary for the Hunter Scot MacDonald said yesterday that the work on Raymond Terrace Road was completed last week.
“The NSW government allocated $1.3million to repair a 1.4 kilometre section of Raymond TerraceRoad between Turners Road and Eales Road,” Mr MacDonald said.
“Work involvedresurfacing the road, widening the roadshoulders and installing kerbside barriers to ensure the safety of road users.
“The work aims to provide a safer roadsurface for the more than 9500 motorists whotravel along this section of Raymond Terrace Road daily and will also reduce ongoingmaintenance costs.”
Roads and Maritime Service officials thanked the community for their patience while the work was carried out.
