TweetFacebookWell, what a great night it was with BomberThompson.

It all started with the Colts training, and boy did heput the lads through their paces.

When it came time for the big boys to have theirturn, Old Mate Ferret (Steve from MRCLC) overheated the pie warmer and blew a fuse to the wholeRec Centre and Ground, leaving no power for about30 minutes.

Organisers of the main event Brickie and Sarahwere frantically looking around for solutions, andeven resorted to asking Fev if he had any spare batteries.

But the power situation was soon resolved andtraining was back in full swing.

While this was going on the girls were in thekitchen tossing salads and the old fellas were outsideburning steaks on the barbecue.

They did a magicjob, and managed to get all 130 plus hungry stomachsfed.

After the scrumptious feed it was time to sit backand listen to Bomber. He got straight into it, giving usthe ins and outs of his footy career.

It was great to see many old faces around the club, including Froggy, Dougie, Cam Gethin, and evenShane Sander.

I dare say that president Paddy’s future son-in-lawgot a few extra points against his name as he happensto play for the Keller-Tammin Footy Club andbrought along with him more than 20 team mates totrain with Bomber and attend the function with theNukarni boys.

Great to see another club come along and supportour event, they even managed to throw a few bucksaround at the memorabilia auction.

Good on the boys, and hopefully we can return thefavour in the future.

Overall it was a fantastic night, well done toeveryone involved with the organisation and to thosethat helped out.
